DSi
F84 attended the Nintendo DSi Technical Conference in Hollywood, CA this year. It was great to meet so many other DS developers and to see how excited everyone is about developing for the DSi. Nintendo went into great detail about features we all knew about, but the feature that I am most looking forward to working with is face recognition. The Nintendo DSi's face recognition library performs superbly and I believe it is one way we can really make the DSi shine with innovative games.
I like that Nintendo is also willing to give out many ideas on what we can do with their hardware. Overall I was satisfied with the event and it made me feel more proud to be developing on Nintendo systems. The announcement that the Nintendo DS recently shipped its 100 millionth unit http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=22665 also helps make me look forward to developing on the DSi.
